It is mainly used by graphic designers to produce any type of document, generally visually attractive, while respecting the â very restrictive â standards related to the printing world. InDesign is a professional page layout software that has become the market leader in just a few years. About 5 years later the server version of InDesign was released. Indeed, Adobe has been editing InDesign for more than 20 years now, which is still 10 years less than the iconic Photoshop. I donât know if Iâm searching poorly or if my previous IT department is mistaken.J2S and InDesign have one thing in common: they were both founded during the same year! I started doing my own research into this, though, and I canât seem to find any articles stating that support is ending. Now at my new job, we have a much smaller design team (I work on the MARCOM team for a community college) and so I donât believe that IT here is aware of this and I donât want to be caught with my pants down come 2023 and my team has to quickly alter our workflow. He has since implemented an application called K4, a plug-in for Indesign that stores the files on their cloud servers. My IT department at my previous job, that I had just left, had told us in 2021 that Adobe will be ending support for Indesign files to be opened from a non-cloud-based server come 2023 and that we would either need to work on locally saved files or switch to a cloud-based solution.
I had a question regarding adobe continuing server support for Indesign files beginning in 2023 and beyond.ÄŹurrently my company works off a server system, and all our files are stored there and we open/work on them from there.
